The other day I went into gym late becuase I was in the nurse's office and everyone stared at me. But I walked in with my head held high (lol) and wasn't thinking about them, they would have to be doing the same if they had diabetes.
So no matter what you have or who you are (even if you don't like it) live it to your fullest extent, otherwise it gets the best of you.

Hopefully my parents will have a quiet night and not have to stay up a lot.
Anyways I have to go to bed!

Today while I was at PT there was a commercial that said something about "drinking less sugary substances such as soda and energy drinks can reduce the risk of obesity and diabetes".
Okay first commercial peeps, STOP LUMPING TYPE 1 AND TYPE 2 DIABETES TOGETHER!!! They are two totally different diseases!!! That's why I'm starting my petition (check down 2 posts below for details) so I can change what confuses so many!
Today I was with the nurse discussing my weird lows and a girl in there asked me if I had diabetes so I said yes then she said type 1 or type 2 (I was thinking "wow this girl actually knows something about diabetes!") and I said type 1. She said she had type 2 diabetes and doesn't take insulin. She's a super nice girl and very friendly but I just think it's so sad that she's eleven or twelve and has type 2 diabetes!
That's why I think they should change type 2 diabetes to obesity management (OM) or something that isn't "diabetes" because everyone thinks I can't have sugar and are thinking I could have prevented getting diabetes when I can't have! I can't go on a carb exchange diet and be able to stop having diabetes! If I could I would have already been there and down that!
Please supporting my petition if you agree by posting so as a comment! It would mean a lot to me! Us diabetes need to step together to change what isn't right!

Don't you hate being sick? Last night my bloodsugar was over 400 all night! I've had a stomache and headache all day :(
The only good thing is I had the wonderful book The Hunger Games in my hands and finished the whole book in one day! That's a record, considering how long it is! I now can't wait to read Catching Fire!!!
Anyways as I'm typing this I have a headache, stomache and cough :( it stinks.
Hope you all are well!

My papa always tells me to drive toward goals, even if they don't always happen.
My goal is to change the confusion between type 1 and type 2 diabetes. They are two completely different deseases and I think it is not fair how everyone confuses them. I'll get "Oh I'm so sorry you can't eat candy!" from people I know and things like "Is it calories or fat that you can't have?" Today in gym my gym teacher said exercise can help prevent obesity and diabetes.
NOT TYPE 1 DIABETES ONLY TYPE 2 DIABETES! You would think my gym teacher would research a bit about diabetes considering at my school there are three diabetics including a fellow gym teacher!!!
My goal is to get 1 million sign my petition. The details are not totally figured out but I just wanted to give you guys a heads up.
Write "I agree" in the comment box if you agree with what I'm saying!

Isn't it frustrating when your bg starts going up really high with no explaination? Thats what's going on right now!
What I'm guessing is it was probably from the delicous waffles I had for breakfast. Syrup and a some waffles= high bloodsugar :( Everyone experiments with foods that just don't work out for them.

Answer: It was 93 carbs. Doesn't that seem like a lot?
When I did my bg it was 277 and I don't think having this smoothie's going to help :) oh well, it was good.
Okay sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been very busy with school work and mantaining my diabetes. Also I have been busy getting a MRI.
For over a year my ankle has been bothering me and swelling up. At first we went to our local doctor and they just said to keep an eye on it and if it swells up to put ice on it. So we did that for a while but it kept swelling up. We thought maybe I'd injured it playing soccer or softball or maybe dance since injuries in dance are very common. But it wasn't and now a year later we still don't really know.
So to make sure there were no infections I had to get a MRI. I got pulled out of school at lunch time and we went to the place where they would give me my MRI. I was pretty scared because I'd never had an MRI that I'd remembered. I'd had one when I was very little but that doesn't really count because I dont remember it.
I had to take off all the metal I was wearing (ID bracelet, earrings, etc.) and they put an IV on my arm (I hate getting IV's on ick!) and they led me to a huge like medical truck (or something like that). I had to put my ankle imbetween this object and lay very still. I was really tired and fell asleep for ten minutes and accidently twitched my foot (we did that section over). There were a lot of loud beeps (it reminded me of a machine gun) but some how I fell asleep and accidently twitched my foot.
Soon enough it was over, one annoying thing was I had to take off my pump because it has batteries or metal in it, so we had to put a new pump on.
Now a month later we found out I don't have any infections in my ankle, so there are 3 different choices: operation (surgery and no thanks), a shot of cortizone in my ankle each month (omg no) or physical therapy (ok thats better).
Lately my ankle has been killing me. It hurts when I dance and play soccer, sometimes even when I walk. Hopefully we'll get a call back from the doctors soon about when and where my PT will take place.
Just wanted to update you diabetics or non diabetics out there!

Acting, dancing, and singing is a big part of my life because I love to do all three of those things! At my school we have a program where middle schoolers can do just that! They have two seasons: season 1 in fall and season 2 in spring. You have to audition and if you sing you sing for them too. I tried out in the fall and was placed in Throughly Modern Millie! It is about a young women going to New York to try to get a job as a stenographer and ends up falling in love with her boss. It was an absolute thrill to be in! It has a very complicated plot. I just tried out again for the spring and got placed in Showboat/Ol' Man Robeson. Showboat is play/musical that is combined with Ol' Man Robeson. It is a play telling the life of Paul Robeson who was an African-American actor, re-cording artist, athlete and an advocate for the Civil Rights Movement. The play shows the story of his life along with Showboat, which is lots of singing and acting! I was in 4 parts and most of them were singing. It was absolute fun!!!
My best friend came and gave me a rose!
Can't wait till my second performance tonight!
